Information - ‘Businesses That Lunch’ – Ipswich Launch Event – November 2025

Brought to you by the folk at Powered Up Business Networking!

A new business networking meeting but with a sit down meal! Why not come and join us for our launch?

Businesses That Lunch is networking with a proper meal and a relaxed format. We cut out the boring routines and focus on real conversations. You will meet people, build relationships and share plenty of laughs along the way.

The best business connections are not just contacts, they are people you enjoy spending time with. People you trust, who get you, and who you could happily meet outside of work. That is who you will find here.

There is a simple structure, a welcoming atmosphere and the chance to learn from other business owners, all with no strings attached.

Just bring yourself, your e-ticket and your best smile, and you are set.

Each event has four main aims
Meet great people
We welcome all kinds of businesses, from start ups to those with decades of experience. Everyone is there because they want to connect.

Build genuine relationships
We believe in the people buy from people philosophy. A relaxed lunch helps conversations flow naturally, and the connections you make feel real rather than forced.

Learn without sales pressure
Every event is designed to give you value. We don’t have a speaker. We have an expert who will answer your questions on their specialist field.

Have fun
Because business does not need to be serious all the time. A good meal and some laughs are the best way to make networking worthwhile.

What is happening at this event
We are joined by entrepreneur and NED expert, Lindsey Cook who will be answering questions on business.

Location
The Belstead Brook Hotel, Ipswich.
We have their back dining room to ourselves and lunch is included.

You Don’t Need To Be An Expert To Get Involved In Pride in Place

One of the biggest misconceptions about community projects is that they're only for people with impressive CVs, professional backgrounds or years of experience sitting on committees. The Pride in Place programme - a government investment for Whitehouse and Stoke Park/Chantry of £20m into each area over 10 years - is trying to change that.
