Information - FREE ActivLives Health Walks at Christchurch Park – ActivWalks
Walk for your health!
Everyone is welcome to ActivWalks and it is FREE. The health walk is led by experienced volunteers walk leaders. This walk is a great way to meet new people, enjoy the beautiful parkland and boost your mental and physical health. Walking is a great way to improve your health and fitness.
Please wear suitable shoes. The walk is about an hour in total, at a gentle pace. We usually divide into two groups, one walking at a slightly quicker pace than the other. The park is undulating – as a result this walk does include some uphill sections. We usually stay on the footpaths throughout, including the beautiful arboretum section of the park. This walk is suitable for wheelchair users.
The schedule is every other Monday 11.00am-12.00pm (excluding Bank Holidays). We meet inside the Soane Street gate in Christchurch Park, Ipswich, IP4 2BG (in front of the Mansion). The park is very close to the centre of town and the main bus routes.

One of the biggest misconceptions about community projects is that they're only for people with impressive CVs, professional backgrounds or years of experience sitting on committees. The Pride in Place programme - a government investment for Whitehouse and Stoke Park/Chantry of £20m into each area over 10 years - is trying to change that.
