Information - International Women’s Day #InspiringInclusion

To accompany the Arrivals: Celebrating Migration to Suffolk exhibition and to mark International Women’s Day Suffolk Archives are hosting an inspiring and motivational day of discussions, workshops and adult crafting. Working in partnership with Future Female Society we will be joined by a marketplace of local women’s organisations, support groups and networks.

We want to showcase local organisations and charities that support women locally, enjoy some learning, wellbeing and craft activities. This will be an opportunity to meet a range of amazing women from different backgrounds and hear from a diverse panel of experts who will share their experiences and wisdom on how to create an inclusive and safe world.

We are delighted to offer the event for free as part of the Arrivals project, made possible by the National Lottery Heritage Fund.

Free admission includes light lunch

Also on Saturday 9th March Imani Sorhaindo from KMT Rising is running Transforming Your Fear To Courage – Day Retreat follow the link for further details and booking.

You Don’t Need To Be An Expert To Get Involved In Pride in Place

One of the biggest misconceptions about community projects is that they're only for people with impressive CVs, professional backgrounds or years of experience sitting on committees. The Pride in Place programme - a government investment for Whitehouse and Stoke Park/Chantry of £20m into each area over 10 years - is trying to change that.
