Information - Ipswich Music Day 2025

Ipswich Entertains has unveiled its full line-up of artists and musicians selected to perform at Ipswich Music Day 2025.

In total, 49 crowd-pleasing performers from Ipswich, Suffolk and the East Anglian region were picked out from over 220 applications to appear at Christchurch Park on Sunday 6 July.

Giving these singer-songwriters, soloists, bands and DJs the opportunity to appear live in front of thousands of people, the event is a fantastic opportunity for up-and-coming artists to showcase their talent.

Running for the 35th year, Ipswich Music Day is the largest free one-day music festival in the UK. Organised by Ipswich Borough Council, this family-friendly event in Christchurch Park will feature six stages of performers celebrating all types of music alongside fairground rides, for children and adults, street food, and a marketplace.

This year’s line-up promises to offer something for everyone with genres such as Acoustic, Folk, Country, Americana, Indie, Samba, Soul, Jazz, Funk, Blues, Hip Hop, Rap, Rock and Alternative Rock among just some of the music that’s on offer.

In addition to five stages of local music artists, once again the Indian Summer Mela is to be part of Ipswich Music Day. This rich and colourful celebration of Indian culture will include live entertainment on a fully programmed Mela Stage, workshops, demonstrations, and authentic Indian street food.

Councillor Neil MacDonald, Ipswich Borough Council Leader, says:

“Ipswich Music Day is a brilliant celebration of music, culture and local talent. We received so many outstanding entries to perform at this year’s event, and we’d like to thank everybody who applied.

“Congratulations to the 49 acts who’ll be taking to the stages to perform live to audiences throughout the day on Sunday 6 July, bringing an array of different musical genres to delight the crowds.

“This year’s event promises to be more diverse than ever, so we’re looking forward to showcasing some really exciting and talented artists and bands. Once again, audiences can prepare for a great day out as Christchurch Park comes alive with the sound of music, fun, and entertainment. “

You Don’t Need To Be An Expert To Get Involved In Pride in Place

One of the biggest misconceptions about community projects is that they're only for people with impressive CVs, professional backgrounds or years of experience sitting on committees. The Pride in Place programme - a government investment for Whitehouse and Stoke Park/Chantry of £20m into each area over 10 years - is trying to change that.
