Information - Murder Trial Tonight: Death in the Family

Step into the Jury Box at the Regent Theatre

Are you a fan of true crime? Do you often find yourself shouting at the TV during documentaries, certain you know who did it? Well, Ipswich, it’s time to put those detective skills to the test! We are thrilled to welcome Murder Trial Tonight V: Death in the Family to our very own Regent Theatre on Sunday, 14th February 2027.

After four incredible sold-out seasons, this immersive courtroom experience is back with what promises to be its most gripping and chilling case yet. This isn’t just a play; it’s a high-stakes drama where the ending is partially in your hands.

A Chilling True Story

This season’s case, Death in the Family, is based on a shocking true story that made headlines around the world. The scene is a quiet family home where a devoted mother and wife is found murdered in her own kitchen. The twist? A member of her own family stands in the dock, accused of the crime.

As the trial unfolds on stage, you’ll watch the prosecution and defence battle it out. You’ll hear every argument, witness every twist, and examine the evidence just as a real jury would. It’s a night of intense tension and moral dilemmas that will keep you on the edge of your seat.

The Verdict is Yours

This is where it gets really exciting! Once the evidence has been presented, it’s time for you to fulfill your jury duty. Using a QR code on your phone, you’ll cast your vote live to determine whether the accused is guilty or innocent.

But the drama doesn’t end there. Once the audience’s verdict is revealed, the “real” truth behind the actual case will be shown on the big screen. Will your instincts match the reality? There’s only one way to find out!

You Don’t Need To Be An Expert To Get Involved In Pride in Place

One of the biggest misconceptions about community projects is that they're only for people with impressive CVs, professional backgrounds or years of experience sitting on committees. The Pride in Place programme - a government investment for Whitehouse and Stoke Park/Chantry of £20m into each area over 10 years - is trying to change that.
