Information - Nao Santa Maria in Ipswich

After several. years in the USA, the Nao Santa Maria visits the UK for the first time this season:

The NAO SANTA MARIA will visit Ipswich this week for first time, docking at Orwell Quay. The ship will be open to visitors from 3 to 7 September.

Did you know that, among its creaking timbers, the Nao Santa Maria tells the story of Christopher Columbus’ discovery of America? Ipswich will be one of the English ports to welcome the Nao Santa María after more than 3 years in the United States opening its decks to the public in cities such as New York, Miami or Puerto Rico. You will be able to get on board and see how the adventurers of yesteryear sailed and lived.

Only from 3 to 7 September from 10.00 to 20.00 hours non-stop.

Given the good reception expected we advise you to buy your tickets in advance to avoid queues! tickets.naosantamaria.org

Schools and associations should arrange to visit the following e-mail address: ecampos@velacuadra.es

You Don’t Need To Be An Expert To Get Involved In Pride in Place

One of the biggest misconceptions about community projects is that they're only for people with impressive CVs, professional backgrounds or years of experience sitting on committees. The Pride in Place programme - a government investment for Whitehouse and Stoke Park/Chantry of £20m into each area over 10 years - is trying to change that.
