Information - Photography Animation with Gillian Allard

Join photographer Gillian Allard for this creative workshop for 10-16 year olds at Ipswich County Library. Create a unique time-lapse film by playing with photography and sound effects. This workshop is part of The Blank Page Project.

Workshops take place from 9.45AM to 3.30PM and include lunch, drinks and snacks!

The workshop will start with participants taking original photos that represent their unique perspective, using books from the library, and any imagery they like. We will then manipulate the images and work them into a series, layering them together.

In the second part of the workshop, we will explore creating animation through our photo series, ripping up the images to reveal each layer, making a time-lapse film. Lastly, we will be adding sound effects to enhance the visual experience of our artwork.

You Don’t Need To Be An Expert To Get Involved In Pride in Place

One of the biggest misconceptions about community projects is that they're only for people with impressive CVs, professional backgrounds or years of experience sitting on committees. The Pride in Place programme - a government investment for Whitehouse and Stoke Park/Chantry of £20m into each area over 10 years - is trying to change that.
