Information - The Amy Winehouse Band – Back to Black 20th Anniversary Tour

Hi everyone! We have some incredibly exciting news for music lovers here in Ipswich. If you’re a fan of soulful vocals and timeless hits, you’ll want to clear your diary for this one.

The original Amy Winehouse Band has announced they are coming to the Ipswich Corn Exchange as part of their major UK tour. This isn’t just any performance; it’s a very special celebration marking the 20th anniversary of Amy’s era-defining album, Back to Black.

Celebrating a Global Cultural Force

It is hard to believe it has been two decades since Back to Black was released in 2006. That album transformed Amy Winehouse from a rising star in London pubs into a global icon. It famously led her to win five GRAMMY Awards in a single night in 2008—a record-breaking feat for a British female artist at the time.

The musicians performing on this tour were right there by her side through it all. They played with her from her earliest gigs and stayed with her throughout her meteoric rise to fame. Now, they are coming together to keep her musical legacy alive, giving us the chance to experience those modern classic songs performed live by the people who knew them best.

The Original Sound, Live in Ipswich

Led by Amy’s long-time musical director and bass player, Dale Davis, the band features members who both toured and recorded with Amy throughout her incredible career. This is a unique opportunity to hear the authentic sound of Back to Black and other hits from her catalogue, delivered with the same passion and soul that defined her music.

Whether you were a fan from the very beginning or you’ve discovered her music more recently, this promises to be an emotional and high-energy night celebrating one of the greatest talents the UK has ever produced.

You Don’t Need To Be An Expert To Get Involved In Pride in Place
