Information - The Sound Of Light Experience

An Immersive Journey for the Senses

There are performances you watch, and then there are experiences that move through you. We are incredibly excited to welcome The Sound of Light Experience to the beautiful, resonant setting of The Church in Ipswich. This isn’t a typical concert; it is a carefully shaped musical journey designed to act as “sound medicine” for the soul.

The evening unfolds as a single, immersive arc, weaving together live voice, rhythmic pulses, and deep drones. The performance bridges the gap between the ancient and the modern, moving seamlessly from traditional Sanskrit invocations to contemporary compositions. It’s a performance that feels both intimate and vast, creating a sonic environment that stays with you long after the final note has faded.

Featuring Grammy-Nominated Radhika Vekaria

At the heart of this experience is the world-renowned composer and vocalist Radhika Vekaria. A Grammy nominee, Radhika possesses a rare gift for moving listeners out of their minds and into their hearts. Drawing on her East African and Indian heritage, as well as her deep knowledge of Vedic wisdom, she creates music that transcends language and background.

Through layered textures and dynamic interplay between the musicians, Radhika and her collaborators build a space where you can simply exist and be held by the sound. As the creators say: “Come as you are. Leave changed.”

You Don’t Need To Be An Expert To Get Involved In Pride in Place

One of the biggest misconceptions about community projects is that they're only for people with impressive CVs, professional backgrounds or years of experience sitting on committees. The Pride in Place programme - a government investment for Whitehouse and Stoke Park/Chantry of £20m into each area over 10 years - is trying to change that.
