Information - Vinyl Communion: Luke Bower

A Soul-Cleansing Thursday with Vinyl Communion

Is there any better way to ease into the weekend than with the warm, crackling sound of vinyl? We don’t think so! We are delighted to invite you back to The Church for another installment of Vinyl Communion. It’s all about high-quality music, a relaxed atmosphere, and great company in one of Ipswich’s most unique venues.

On the Decks: Luke Bower

On Thursday, 28th May, we are handing the turntables over to Luke Bower. Luke will be spinning a hand-picked selection of vinyl all night long, curated specifically to help you shake off the mid-week stress. Whether you’re a serious audiophile or just looking for a cool place to hang out, Luke’s set is guaranteed to provide the perfect soundtrack for your evening.

Sip, Snack, and Socialise

The music is only half the story! The Church’s talented bar team will be on hand serving up a fantastic range of cocktails, craft beers, and refreshments. If you’re feeling a bit peckish, there will be plenty of delicious nibbles available to graze on while you soak up the vibes.

Need a spot to work from during the day or fancy an afternoon catch-up? The Church Cafe/Bar opens its doors from 12:00pm, so feel free to head down early and claim your favourite spot before the DJ set begins at 7:00pm.

You Don’t Need To Be An Expert To Get Involved In Pride in Place

One of the biggest misconceptions about community projects is that they're only for people with impressive CVs, professional backgrounds or years of experience sitting on committees. The Pride in Place programme - a government investment for Whitehouse and Stoke Park/Chantry of £20m into each area over 10 years - is trying to change that.
