Information - Vitreous Enamelling Master Class with Dale Devereux Barker

Explore the fascinating and unpredictable world of vitreous enamel with artist Dale Devereux Barker.

Vitreous enamel is fused coloured glass onto a prepared surface by placing it into a kiln at high temperatures to create a glossy and permanent finish. Various forms of enamel can be layered to create stunning results in a relatively short time.

Dale will encourage and guide you through the creative and technical aspects of enamelling. Students will design and  produce two completed artworks by the end of the day. There wil be an opportunity to purchase additional enamelled plates to work on if time allows.

No experience is needed, just a willingness to experiment and to have fun.

Your ticket price includes lunch, refreshments and all materials

You Don’t Need To Be An Expert To Get Involved In Pride in Place

One of the biggest misconceptions about community projects is that they're only for people with impressive CVs, professional backgrounds or years of experience sitting on committees. The Pride in Place programme - a government investment for Whitehouse and Stoke Park/Chantry of £20m into each area over 10 years - is trying to change that.
