An Evening with Kevin Sinfield – A Night of Inspiration in Ipswich

On Tuesday 14 April 2026, the iconic Ipswich Corn Exchange will host a very special event – An Evening with Kevin Sinfield. This is a unique opportunity to spend time with one of rugby league’s greatest achievers and hear his incredible story of determination, humility, and perseverance.

Meet Kevin Sinfield: A Rugby Legend

Kevin Sinfield is not just any sportsman; he is one of the most successful players in rugby league history. His illustrious career includes multiple championships and Challenge Cup victories as part of outstanding teams. Along the way, he has earned numerous individual honours, including the Lance Todd Trophy, the Harry Sunderland Trophy, and joining the exclusive ranks of only five British players to have ever won the prestigious Golden Boot.

Kevin’s contributions extend beyond the pitch and into charitable efforts, recognised by his MBE in 2014 (services to rugby league football), OBE in 2021 (services to rugby league football and charitable fundraising), and most recently a CBE in 2024 (services to motor neurone disease awareness).

The Story Behind the Achievements

What truly sets Kevin apart is not just his incredible accomplishments, but the humble and grounded way in which he pursues them. His mindset is unique – driven by a meaningful purpose that fuels his superhuman dedication day after day. On the night, Kevin will share the heartfelt reasons behind his relentless drive and inspire you to find your own.

Friendship and Camaraderie: The Bond with Rob Burrow

No story of Kevin Sinfield is complete without mentioning his lifelong friendship with Rob Burrow. The two first became friends as teenagers and went on to share a special connection as teammates, sitting side-by-side in the dressing room for 15 years at the core of one of rugby league’s greatest teams.

Their friendship grew stronger off the field too, helping them face challenges together through life’s ups and downs. You’ll hear about this remarkable bond and how it has shaped both their lives.

You Don’t Need To Be An Expert To Get Involved In Pride in Place

One of the biggest misconceptions about community projects is that they're only for people with impressive CVs, professional backgrounds or years of experience sitting on committees.
