Information - Golden Days Cafe – ITFC Foundation

The Golden Days Café is designed to provide a safe space to support those living with dementia, along with carers and those who have lost loved ones to dementia.

The Golden Days Café name is inspired by Sir Bobby Robson’s successful and influential period as manager of Ipswich Town between 1969 and 1982. His most notable achievements of winning the FA Cup in 1978 and the UEFA Cup 3 years later in 1981 remain firmly etched in the history of the Football Club.

Attendance is £6.00 per cared for attendee, and all attendees and volunteers will be provided with refreshments and lunch.

The Foundation currently offers Golden Days Cafés at the following locations:

  • Hall of Fame Restaurant, Portman Road – first Thursday of every month – 10:30AM-12:30PM.

Each session also features a different activity to enjoy, such as singing, bingo, arts and crafts, school performances, or gentle chair-based exercise and yoga.

These sessions fill up quickly. Please book your place by emailing our Health & Inclusion Coordinator at lauren.revill@itfcfoundation.co.uk.

You Don’t Need To Be An Expert To Get Involved In Pride in Place

One of the biggest misconceptions about community projects is that they're only for people with impressive CVs, professional backgrounds or years of experience sitting on committees. The Pride in Place programme - a government investment for Whitehouse and Stoke Park/Chantry of £20m into each area over 10 years - is trying to change that.
