Meet the Bands

Khoshekh

We are thrilled to welcome Ipswich’s very own Khoshekh back to The Smokehouse for their third headline-worthy visit! This powerful four-piece rock band has been making waves with their unique blend of grunge, stoner rock, and heavy metal. Since releasing their self-titled debut album in 2023 and the brilliant Saturnine Smile in 2025, they’ve been working hard on new material. Summer 2026 marks the release of their highly anticipated third album, which promises to be their heaviest, loudest, and most experimental work yet. Come and hear their brand-new tracks live!

Raptures

Making the trip up from Brighton, Raptures are a ferocious hardcore band that you definitely don’t want to miss. Their debut EP was mixed and mastered by punk-rock royalty Stephen Egerton (from the legendary band Descendents), so you know the sound is going to be top-tier. If you are a fan of bands like The Bronx and Cancer Bats, expect plenty of noise, energy, and crowd-moving shouting. They are guaranteed to bring a high-octane performance to the Ipswich stage.

Venue & Accessibility

The Smokehouse is proud to be a welcoming and accessible venue for all music fans in our community. The venue features step-free access from the entrance right through to the main room. The bar, the performance space, and the accessible toilet are all located on a single, flat floor. If you have any specific requirements or would like to chat about how they can make your visit as comfortable as possible, please get in touch with the venue team directly before the show.

Grab Your Tickets!

At just £8 (plus booking fee), this is an absolute steal for a night of incredible live music right on your doorstep. Support local music, discover some brilliant new sounds, and let’s show both bands some legendary Ipswich love. See you in the crowd!

You Don’t Need To Be An Expert To Get Involved In Pride in Place

One of the biggest misconceptions about community projects is that they're only for people with impressive CVs, professional backgrounds or years of experience sitting on committees. The Pride in Place programme - a government investment for Whitehouse and Stoke Park/Chantry of £20m into each area over 10 years - is trying to change that.
