Lowlight Communion is an intimate live showcase featuring a brilliant new wave of original music emerging from Suffolk New College. If you love discovering fresh sounds before they hit the mainstream, this is the place to be. The evening promises an eclectic mix that moves through everything from deep funk and psychedelic post-punk to melodic house and experimental soundscapes.

An Eclectic Lineup of Artists and DJs

The night features a fantastic variety of acts, ensuring there is something for every music lover:

  • Red Herring: A fresh-faced psych-funk quartet that perfectly blends soulful grooves with mind-melting fuzz.
  • The Lagren Voo: A brand new band bringing a psychedelically infused, funky, and proggy take on post-punk.
  • DJ Mills-E: A veteran rave-head emerging to deliver a “seminar” in melodic house.
  • DJ Roots: A talented young DJ making his debut with a carefully curated playlist of deep house shades.

You Don’t Need To Be An Expert To Get Involved In Pride in Place

One of the biggest misconceptions about community projects is that they're only for people with impressive CVs, professional backgrounds or years of experience sitting on committees. The Pride in Place programme - a government investment for Whitehouse and Stoke Park/Chantry of £20m into each area over 10 years - is trying to change that.
