Information - Museum Discovery Day 2025

Join us for Museum Discovery Day on Wednesday, 29 October, from 10 AM to 3 PM, and bring along your exciting finds to share with a range of experts. Specialists in natural history, geology, archaeology and astronomy will be on hand to help identify and discuss your objects. You’ll also have the chance to meet museum staff and learn more about the collections while the museum is closed for redevelopment.

For younger visitors, our Terrifying Toddlers sessions offer Halloween-themed free play, crafts and storytelling designed especially for under 5s. This fun and educational day is suitable for all ages and perfect for curious minds.
