A Night of Rising Alternative Talent at The Smokehouse

Get ready for a high-energy Saturday night! A10 Promotions is bringing a fantastic triple-bill of rising alternative talent to The Smokehouse this July. Featuring a unique blend of rock, punk, and emo, this is a brilliant opportunity to catch some of the UK’s most exciting new acts in an intimate setting.

Headliner: Passive Fix

Hailing from Birmingham, Passive Fix are a three-piece rock band that is truly carving their own path. What sets them apart? They perfectly fuse aggressive guitars and unrelenting grooves with signature saxophone melodies. It’s a bold, fresh sound that has already earned them millions of views online and a dedicated global following.

Since forming at the Royal Birmingham Conservatoire, they have evolved into a powerhouse live act, recently completing a successful UK headline tour and supporting bands like The Futureheads. If you enjoy the intensity of bands like Twenty One Pilots, Turnstile, or Boston Manor, you are going to love their set.

Support from Lava Pigeon and Perspective Error

The night kicks off with two incredible support acts that showcase the best of our regional scene:

Lava Pigeon are an alt-rock outfit from just down the road in Bury St Edmunds. They bring a “sock-blowing” mix of punk, indie, and grunge. With several releases already under their belt, they are known for a heavy, catchy sound that perfectly sets the stage for a rock show.

Perspective Error are Ipswich’s very own pop-punk newcomers. Specialising in those classic emo vibes, they draw inspiration from legends like My Chemical Romance and Fall Out Boy. This show is particularly special as it marks their very first live performance—come down and show some local love for their debut!

You Don’t Need To Be An Expert To Get Involved In Pride in Place

One of the biggest misconceptions about community projects is that they're only for people with impressive CVs, professional backgrounds or years of experience sitting on committees. The Pride in Place programme - a government investment for Whitehouse and Stoke Park/Chantry of £20m into each area over 10 years - is trying to change that.
