Information - Scott Bennett

Get ready for a night of brilliant observational comedy right here in the heart of Ipswich! We are thrilled to announce that the award-winning Scott Bennett will be taking the stage at the Corn Exchange for a night that promises to be as thought-provoking as it is hilarious.

What’s the Show About?

In his latest show, Scott tackles a dilemma we all face: our obsession with “stuff.” As a society, we love the things we own—they tell the world who we are and who we want to be. But with the environmental crisis looming, Scott explores the struggle of balancing our love for belongings with the need to find real, soul-nourishing connections.

As both an award-winning comedian and an award-winning product designer, Scott brings a unique perspective to the stage. He’s desperately trying to cleanse his life of clutter, but in the modern world, is that even possible? Come along to find out!

A Star of the Stage and Screen

If Scott’s face or voice seems familiar, it’s because he’s everywhere! You’ve likely heard him on BBC Radio 4 (The News Quiz, The Now Show) or seen his fantastic set on Live at the Apollo. He’s also been the hand-picked tour support for some of the biggest names in comedy, including Mickey Flanagan, Rob Brydon, Jason Manford, and John Bishop.

Nominated for the Chortle Best Club Comedian in 2022, Scott is widely regarded as one of the best performers on the circuit today. Ipswich is in for a real treat!

You Don’t Need To Be An Expert To Get Involved In Pride in Place

One of the biggest misconceptions about community projects is that they're only for people with impressive CVs, professional backgrounds or years of experience sitting on committees. The Pride in Place programme - a government investment for Whitehouse and Stoke Park/Chantry of £20m into each area over 10 years - is trying to change that.
