Information - Suffolk New Games Showcase

Looking for a unique night out that combines cutting-edge creativity with incredible live music? Head down to The Church this June for an evening that celebrates the very best of our local talent!

Play the Future of Gaming

We are shining a spotlight on the next generation of developers with a special end-of-year showcase from the Suffolk New College Game Design course. This is your chance to get hands-on with 15–20 completely playable games created right here in Ipswich. Whether you’re a hardcore gamer or just curious to see what the students have been building, it’s a fantastic opportunity to support local creators and see the future of the industry in action.

Live Music: The Hempolics

Adding to the atmosphere, we are thrilled to host The Hempolics. Fronted by producer Grippa and featuring the soul-stirring vocals of Nubiya Brandon and Dandelion, this close-knit group is famous for their “genre-jumping” sound. Expect a brilliant fusion of reggae, dub, soul, and hip hop that has earned them praise from the likes of Paolo Nutini and BBC 6 Music’s Lauren Laverne.

As Maxi Jazz from Faithless once said: “The Hempolics are the best band in the UK – but nobody knows it yet…” Come and find out why they are the best-kept secret in the music scene!

You Don’t Need To Be An Expert To Get Involved In Pride in Place

One of the biggest misconceptions about community projects is that they're only for people with impressive CVs, professional backgrounds or years of experience sitting on committees. The Pride in Place programme - a government investment for Whitehouse and Stoke Park/Chantry of £20m into each area over 10 years - is trying to change that.
