The Makings of a Murderer: The Undercover Detective

Get ready for a gripping evening with Peter Bleksley, a founding member of Scotland Yard’s undercover unit and former star of Channel 4’s Hunted. Peter will take you behind the scenes of murder investigations like never before, sharing stories from the most dangerous and secretive parts of his career.

Meet the Man Behind the Badge

For over ten years, Peter lived a double life undercover — posing as drug dealers, contract killers, and more. His work put him face-to-face with the darkest parts of our world, helping to uncover secrets that saved lives but put his own safety at risk. After an FBI-foiled assassination attempt, Peter was forced into witness protection, ending his detective career but leaving a treasure trove of chilling stories.

What to Expect

This event promises an unforgettable blend of suspense, true crime insight, and firsthand accounts. You’ll hear about:

  • Infiltrating criminal gangs and the gritty realities behind the scenes
  • The high-stakes cases Peter worked on and what it’s like to live undercover
  • Peter’s own terrifying experience of being the target of a murder plot

You Don’t Need To Be An Expert To Get Involved In Pride in Place

One of the biggest misconceptions about community projects is that they're only for people with impressive CVs, professional backgrounds or years of experience sitting on committees. The Pride in Place programme - a government investment for Whitehouse and Stoke Park/Chantry of £20m into each area over 10 years - is trying to change that.
